Our Dance Instructors
For the 2025 / 2026 Season

Rheannon Hubert
Rheannon has studied many dance styles since the age of three and has developed an enthusiastic, musical, and detail-oriented teaching approach. Inspired by her experiences in both recreational and competitive dance, she hopes to share her passion and artistic expression through movement!

Aline Dupuis-Gervais
Aline is a former artistic director and choreographer of Zéphyr, having led the troupe for three artistic seasons. She brings ten years of training with Zéphyr and nineteen years with La Girandole, where she studied French-Canadian dance and jig. She has also trained in modern dance, classical ballet, jazz, and lyrical dance at the Edmonton School of Ballet

Monique Moquin
Monique has worn many hats at La Girandole over the years—as a dancer, volunteer, parent, and teacher. This year, she is thrilled to share her love of French-Canadian dance with the little ones. She began with Les Étincelles, which was the youngest group at the time. Those who know her know it’s rare to see Monique not jigging—whether she’s walking or moving through the school hallways where she teaches. She probably even jigs in her sleep!

Manon Mayrand
Manon began her journey at La Girandole at the age of five and continued as a dancer all the way to the Zéphyr troupe, where she participated in numerous performances and international tours. She has also made her mark as a teacher for Les Lucioles, Les Kangourous, the adult group, and as a leader of dance gatherings. This year, Manon is excited to share her love of dance with the students!

Rita Chehayeb
At 15, Rita chose to follow in her mother’s footsteps and dedicate herself to dance. She teaches belly dance as well as traditional Lebanese folk dances. A member of the Al-Jabal troupe since 2011, she has performed professionally at numerous cultural events, including the Heritage Festival. In 2014, she also earned her Zumba certification, adding a dynamic and modern dimension to her teaching!

Marie-Joanne Fogue-Makou
Marie Joanne Fogue Makou is a Franco-Albertan originally from Cameroon. A versatile artist, she is an actress, performer, dancer, and singer. When she’s not in the spotlight, you’ll find her behind the scenes as a stage manager, director, or sound and lighting technician. This year you'll also find her teaching Hip-Hop with us!
